Friday evening at work was as busy as ever. Got loaded down with tons of stuff to dub. I was amazed that I managed to finish it all and still leave 5 minutes early. Hooray for me! Celebrity Duets is over. Alfonso won. Lucy came in second. I knew this would happen. Alfonso does have a better voice.

I wasn't feeling all that great yesterday. I spent the day reading and just being lazy. I read the first book in the book collection "Steel City Magic" which contains the novels, "Tinker" and "Wolf Who Rules". "Tinker" was just excellent. The author, Wen Spencer, loves Japanese Anime and Manga. You can really see the influence Japanese culture has made on her in this book. The story is about Tinker who's a human 18 year old girl that just happens to be a super genius when it comes to quantum physics. She's brave, innocent, and just too smart. This story is set in the future and the city of "Pittsburgh" has detached from Earth's realm and into that of Elfholme. Every 28 days there is a shutdown and Pittsburgh is returned to Earth's realm for 24 hours. The city has its own police force, and a peace treaty with the elves. Basically, Tinker has the knowledge it takes to build a dimensional gate between the realms and the "Oni" want it for themselves. Tinker unknowingly accepts a marriage proposal from the elf she saved, Windwolf, and the story just gets really funny and just really good. I had to stop reading when I started "Wolf Who Rules." I decided to start reading the first book of "Pern." Is it possible to get hooked on a series from just 10 pages in? I sure did. The next thing I knew I was at page 92! I had to stop because it was getting late. I am so loving Pern right now.

My brother and I went grocery shopping this morning. I went to one section and he went to a different section and then we met up at the seafood section. I "Tagged" him and said I need to go look at something at the other end of the store. He continued doing the grocery shopping while I went on a hunt for a souffle pan. Wal-mart does not have one! I'm going to have to order one on-line! Ugh! We finished shopping fairly quickly and then went to Earthfare! Earthfare rocks! Organic food galore! I have to go to Best Buy now. Later.
