Rainy Day

Rain Rain Go AWAY!

Ugh! Last night, network aired rain delay programming because it was raining constantly in St. Louis. I ended up begging news about 5 minutes before 10pm to please slide/delay the start of the newscast till somewhere between 10:02 and 10:03pm. Network gave very little notice to get ready to go to news. I managed to convince the producer and even told her that she could do a full 35 minute newscast. She did not have to make up the 2 minutes and 20 seconds. We were sliding last night anyway so it really didn't matter.

Today, there is a 90% chance of CONTINUOUS thunderstorms/showers throughout the entire night, yet the damn baseball/network people still refuse to cancel the game and just air regular programming. As a result, we're going to have to air rain delay programming again tonight and see what happens. There's no way we'll air the game tonight. It's supposed to continue raining through saturday in St. Louis. Why couldn't they just have built a dome? I'm in Satellite tonight and tomorrow. It's still kind of crazy even though I'm not in Master Control. It might be next week before we actually air a game because of the stinking weather.

Well, better get back to work. Later.
