All sparkly and looking new!

I did enjoy the very last episode of Gilmore Girls.  I can't believe it's over.  I love that show.  The season finale of Grey's Anatomy threw me for a complete loop.  Next season is going to rock!  "The Tudors" is on tonight.  This will be episode #8. There are only 10 episodes in the first season.  I really love that show.  The "Dancing with the Stars" finale will be tomorrow.  I'm hoping Laila and Maks will win but more than likely Apolo and Julianne will win do the teenage female vote.  Speaking of the teenage female vote, Blake Lewis only made it to the final because of it.  I couldn't believe that Melinda was going home.  M.B. told me to stop underestimating the Female Teen vote.  How else did Sanjaya last so long?  I seriously hope Jordin wins American Idol.

I got my car back on Thursday!  My car looks brand spanking new!  They detailed it also.  I get really nervous driving in Parking lots now, even though I wasn't in my car when it got hit in my parking lot.  I guess I'll get over the fear of my car getting hit eventually.  It just feels so good to have my car back.  Thursday, I took my dad out to lunch in order to celebrate.  We went to Earthfare and ate from their Hot bar.  Their food is pretty good.  Friday, I decided to have lunch with my mom.  I bought some Jamaican food and took it to her work.  We ate outside on a bench next to a fountain near her building.  The weather was really nice and we both had a great time.  Ayanna is in Indiana right now getting her a new used car.  She's going to drive it down to here.  She flew to Indiana.  She's getting a Honda Accord.

My back started hurting me while I was at work yesterday.  As I was driving home, I couldn't sit comfortably in my car because of my back.  I woke up this morning with my back sore and stiff.  I am definitely going to the chiropractor sometime this week.

Whew. I've been busy.

Sunday morning Dad and I went fishing.  We both managed to get a few nibbles and bites but didn't actually catch any fish.  They were jumping all over the place though.  I had to renew my fishing license.  I only ever go fishing in the fall and spring otherwise it's just too hot or too cold.  Monday, I had a ball watching Dancing with the Stars.  Two dances each!  One ballroom and one Latin dance.  I was thrilled that Laila finally got a  perfect score for her Samba.  I'm doing really well with the fantasy dancing league.  I'm currently ranked #54 out of several thousand and I didn't even play the first week.  Tuesday's American Idol was really good.  I love Bon Jovi!  Blake's version of "You Give Love A Bad Name" was awesome!  I was off Wednesday and Thursday and it completely slipped my mind to check and see who got voted off.  I ended up asking M.B. on Friday evening who got voted off.  Friday morning I finally got a call from the rental car company asking me what time I needed to be picked up from the body shop on Monday.  I'm dropping my car off around 8am and the rental car people will be there around 8:15am.  The guy asked me how long I would need the vehicle.  I told him that I keep forgetting to ask how long it's going to take to fix my car.  He said that the body shop had stated 10 days.  Wow, I get a rental for 10 days at least.  Cool, huh?  I'm sure I'll remember to ask them tomorrow when I drop the car off to confirm that.

When my computer crashed a while back, I lost my writing program for novels.  I did not back it up.  However, I wasn't really using it because I didn't even really know how to begin writing.  I was searching the internet yesterday and found this really awesome novel writing software called, "New Novelist".  It actually takes you step by step through the process of writing a novel.  It gives you 3 main categories of writing.  You pick one and then it gives you 12 subcategories to that category and it is just very specific in helping to give a really great outline for writing a novel.  It also gives you detailed steps on what is expected in this type of novel and what details or focus should be added in each step.  It lets you come up with characters and stores them for you and it asks many questions to help you focus and come up with details for your characters.  It even lets you link to websites under the research button.  I've already got several links to Fantasy Name Generators.  I found one website which is being a tremendous help right now.  It's called Serendipity.  Here's the link:  http://nine.frenchboys.net/
It is really helpful!  I actually feel as if I really will write and finish my novel now that I have an outline of what to do.  It's just like having an outline for a research paper.  I am so used to doing that!  I actually woke up this morning wanting to work on my novel.  I'm really excited!

Deadly

I need some down time.

The World Series has officially ended. I literally jumped for joy when St. Louis won even though I was rooting for Detroit. It's finally over. I was kind of late with finishing up everything because I was delayed at the beginning of my shift a few times. First, A.W. was 8 minutes late, then there was a problem with some hit times on the log from two days ago and one from last week. I kept getting interrupted. At one point, I was watching the board for half an hour while A.W. did some corrections on the log from two days ago with C.D. Then I had to send the news breaks around 6:30 and so on and so on. I was surprised I managed to finish everything.

While dubbing some promos, I happened to hear that Ford produced its last Ford Taurus today. The rental car we had in Arizona was a 2007 Ford Taurus. It had over 8,000 miles on it, lots of scratches and a dent or two. It had absolutely no get up and go even though it had a V6 engine. It was also a real gas guzzler. I was not impressed with the vehicle at all. I think the news mentioned something about Ford laying off lots of workers. I am sad about that.

Well, I should get some sleep. I have to get up early in the morning and go grocery shopping. Later.

Fix you right up

Beware of Flying Blue Objects

I was on the hunt today for Katie MacAlister's "Light My Fire" which is the 3rd in the Aisling Gray series. Apparently, I can buy it on-line now at www.bn.com, but it's not available in the stores yet. I'm going to have to order it or wait for it to come into the stores. On my way back, a round blue looking object falls off a truck that is heading towards me and hits the top of my car near my windshield. I about had the crap scared out of me. It happened so fast and I was afraid it was going to hit my windshield and shatter it. It made a really loud noise as it bounced off the top of my car and I looked in my rear-view mirror and saw it fly behind the car directly behind me and off the road. I just knew I had a dent in my car. But, luckily, when I got home, I checked and saw that there was no dent at all. Thank God for small favors!

I have to get ready to go to work now. I just know I'm going to be given lots of stuff to dub. I hope it does not rain in St. Louis again today. Later.
