MCOQueen's Ramblings

I really did plan not to go anywhere before going to work yesterday but my new lenses for my glasses were ready for me to pick up. I went to my eye place to get directions to the optical lab. I decided to keep the same frames that I am using and I need my glasses to see so I couldn't give it to them to send to the lab. The optical lab is down aviation parkway in Morrisville. I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to put my new lenses on my frames. My poor eyes were working hard all yesterday trying to get adjusted to the new prescription. Everything looked bigger and so much clearer.

At work, I could see the writing on the computer really clearly from the other end of the room. No more squinting at the computer screen for me! Yeah! By the time I went to sleep last night, my poor eyes felt like they had a workout.

I watched the latest episode of Gilmore Girls yesterday. I just knew Lane would get pregnant. I'm all sad about Lorelai and Luke breaking up. I love Gilmore Girls! The latest episode of Venture Brothers just ripped apart the whole Scoooby-Doo gang. It was too funny! I had won some tickets about two weeks ago for a hockey game, but unfortunately I was working the day of the game. Apparently the policy now is that the employee has to actually go each time. I can't just give the tickets to family members and not go myself. I got an e-mail yesterday from the HR person who gives out tickets saying that she has just gotten back two last minute tickets for Friday's hockey game and will I be able to use them? I was ecstatic! I am actually off on Friday and can use them! I then called me family and let them battle out who's going to go with me. All my family members love going to hockey games. Every single one has been to a hockey game with me.

I really did intend to sleep in this morning but for some weird reason I woke up at 9am. It's a good thing I did, because I got a knock on my door at 9:15. Apparently, there's a group of guys who are taking down a tree next to my apartment building and my car was only a few feet away from the tree and they wanted me to move my car so it wouldn't get damaged. Of course, I went and moved my car.

I hope to get some cleaning done today as well as some reading. I haven't been able to read anything for the past three days.
