Neverending Story

Surgery

My mom had her double knee replacement surgery yesterday. It went perfectly. Mom is currently at Duke University Hospital and will be transferred to Regional on Thursday. I called her today. She said one of her knees was hurting a lot, but that she was going to get some medicine shortly to help with the pain. She is looking forward to being able to walk without pain and to walk longer distances without having to rest. I plan to visit her often when she's at Regional for her physical therapy.

I finally broke down and bought the Sims 2: Pets expansion pack. I have every other sims 2 game, why not this one? I remember the original "The Sims" having an expansion pack with pets. This one so far is way better. I am creating all my characters on the Sims 2 from characters in books that I read. The first character I created was Anita Blake. I haven't had time to create anymore at the moment. She bought a bob-tail cat. I about fell out of my chair when the cat started scratching the furniture! I made sure to buy a scratching post for the kitty. The pets on this game have a mind of their own and act like real pets. I just remembered that there are vampires in this game. Also, characters can get bitten by one of these vampires and be turned into a vampire. Now, I just need to create some vampire characters for Anita. Hee-hee!

Super Green

Daylight Savings

Yesterday, I was woken up by a phone call from my brother. I had intended to get up around 8:30 am and go grocery shopping. I woke up around 10:30am. I'm sure my alarm clock went off and I probably then turned it off and went back to sleep. I think I finally left my apartment around 12:15pm and went to Super Wal-mart and then Earthfare.

Oh, the other day I bought Vol. 1 of Beauty Pop and Vol. 3 of Beauty is the Beast. I already had volume 4 of Beauty if the Beast. I read Beauty Pop and the two volumes of Beauty is the Beast. I like these series a whole lot. I was experiencing Deja'vu though with one of the characters in Beauty pop. There's a male character in this series that not only looks like Kyouya (from Ouran) but he acts like him too. Instead of writing everything down, he knows everything about everyone in his head. He has short dark hair and wears glasses and is incredibly egotistical. Sound familiar?

I totally forgot to set my clock back one hour last night. I called my brother this morning thinking it was almost 11am but it was actually only 10am. Yeesh!

I finally did get my September issue of Shojo Beat. I now have to go through and read August through November. I am so behind. Oh, I got the Desperate Housewives PC game. I played it for a bit yesterday, and have been playing it for a while today. I though it would be cheesy and stupid but it's actually really funny and just plain fun. I created my character and my character's family. I'm married to a doctor and we have a son together. So far, I've managed to cheat on him twice with Mike the Plumber. Also, my son's teacher's aid managed to blackmail me into forcing my son to continue with his "tutoring" sessions. I managed to be a model for a fashion show being held on Wisteria Lane. I managed to blackmail old crabby Mrs. Davenport into leaving Mike and his dog alone. Now some strangers have come into town and our paying a lot of attention to me. Apparently, I chose this weird option of saying that my memory is foggy and don't quite remember certain years of my past. Things are starting to heat up! The game allows you to actually cook recipes step by step. You actually do the chopping, stirring, and etc. You also get to take care of your own garden, and you can search the web on your own computer. It's pretty neat. This game is just too fun!

I also managed to watch several episodes of "Little People, Big World" on my I-pod Video yesterday. I really love that show.

I've got to go now. I have a bit of cleaning to do before going to work. I also have to return the luggage back to my parents. Later.
