Cat catching

Busy, Busy, Busy

Hello to all my friends!  It has been two weeks since I last updated.  I don't have nearly as much free time as I used to have because I'm a full time student now.  I'm doing all my courses online and so far, I'm really enjoying it.  Since I've been working at my current job for over five years, I can actually go to the long term luncheon this year.  It's on December 5th.  My work has a tuition reimbursement policy and I just got approved for the two classes I'm taking right now which are "Fundamentals of Grammar and Editing" and "Technical Writing".  I'm an Advanced Start Bachelor of Science in Communications with an emphasis in Technical Writing.  I just have to wait until this quarter is over and pass my classes, and then I will be reimbursed.  Yay!

The Wake County Public Library Book Sale started on the 14th.  I only went on the first day and spent $26.  This is much better than last year.  I spent over a hundred bucks last year.

Yesterday was my birthday.  Thanks to all of you who wished me a happy birthday!  I was out and about yesterday.  I had made plans with Adib and Ayanna to go with them to the Durham County animal shelter to help them pick out two kittens.  We picked up Bridget (Thomas' girlfriend) and went.  They ended up picking a really cute little tabby who is 3 months old.  He is so cute and sweet and hyper!  They're going to name him Atreu, or Trey for short.  Atreu comes from the Never-ending Story.  The second one they picked is a little tuxedo kitty who's only 6 weeks old.  They're going to name him Xander.  He was a bit scared of us in the visitation room, but he seemed to warm up to Ayanna and Bridget.  Atreu licked Bridget's hand when she was holding him.   Animals just love Bridget for some reason.  After picking the kitties, we all went to the Olive Garden for lunch.  It was really busy.  Bridget went home after that.  The rest of us ended up going to Burlington Coat Factory.  Adib needed a coat and so did I.  I bought this really nice Ann Klein coat.  I also needed to get some business casual clothes for the luncheon.  Ayanna helped me pick just the right outfit.

We then stopped by Trader Joe's which if you've never been there before is like an Earthfare or Wholefoods but with a lot cheaper prices.  It's a pretty cool store.  After that, Adib and I stayed at the house while Ayanna went to the store and got some more things for later that night.  Adib and Ayanna hosted a game night and invited all their friends.  There were a total of 9 of us.  I had a whole lot of fun.  Game night started at 8pm and I left the house at midnight!  I had been procrastinating for the past two days on doing my assignment but I managed to finish it last night after I got home.  I stayed up to 2am.  I just have a few small assignments left and then one big one which I really need to think about.

I'm still waiting for my enrollment packet to come in the mail.  I want my student I.D.!  I can't wait to get a student discount!  Today, I'm going over to my parents' place for lunch and to watch football.  I won't actually be watching the game.  I had my mother make me Fesanjun.  It's this really awesome Persian dish.  I can't wait to eat.  I think I'll take my textbook and complete my small assignment while I'm there.  I think that's about it.  I'll try and update some time soon.  Later.
