Fix you right up

The Best Part of Waking up is . . . in your. . ..

I set my alarm for 8am this morning. I hit the snooze button several times and around 8:30am I stretched like a cat would and got a really painful charlie horse in my left calf. My calf is still sore and tight even now. Luckily, the spasm only lasted :30 seconds. I will be limping for the rest of the day. During this time of extreme agony in which I'm writhing in my bed moaning with pain, my lovely furball of a cat Vita decides to jump on the bed and beg for attention. I literally scream at her, "Not now Cat!"

The reason for getting up so early is that I wanted to get to the book sale this morning as soon as it opened. I had to gas up my car and pick up my brother Thomas before going there. I got to see his big ass kitties for a few minutes. I gave them both a hug and they were both purring. We got to the book sale around 10:06am. There was already a huge line of people waiting to get inside. Several people were already coming out of the exit with hand trucks with boxes of books and what not. It was very slim pickings today on books. I did not get any of the Anne McCaffrey books. They were all gone. At least I know to buy them on the fourth day next year. I did manage to find a box full of science fiction/fantasy ones that interested me. Basically all that was left was hardcover. All the carts were taken and I stupidly had not brought a hand truck so I had to carry my box around. By the time I got to check out my arms felt like lead. Thomas carried both his box and my box to the car. I hadn't even bothered to go into the juvenile fiction section because it was overloaded with parents and kids.

I then drove us to my parents' place and we chilled for a bit. I finally managed to eat something. I left around 1pm and decided to go home and get a few things done before going to work. I am about halfway through one of the books I bought at the Sale called, "Broken Time" by Maggy Thomas. It's really good. I have to go to work now. I'll write up a list of the books I bought today when I get home tonight. Later.
