*Sniff* Paint Fumes! Bleh!

I got up earlier than normal this morning to go help my dad with this garage sale thing his neighborhood was having. For the most part, it was overcast and there was a nice breeze. It was fun to meet new people and to spend time with my dad. I saw my mom for a few minutes though. She's got a cold. We managed to sell a few things. Yeah!

I got to work about 15 minutes early and Sylvia was in master control giving a tour to several of her family members. They had just come back from the Duck race. I asked her if anyone we know had won anything. She said, "no". So, neither my duck nor [info]insignia_void 's duck won. There were at least over 1200 ducks if not more so it's impossible to tell if my duck or her duck made it to the end first or made it at all. Doug left here and said he would see if he could get our duck, "Artemis", back. C.D. stopped by a little later and gave me back "Artemis". He had his duck and a couple of other people's as well. My duck's decorations managed to survive the water. Woo-hoo! Permanent ink has its uses. There are only 3 tiny smudge spots.

When I got to work, I smelled really strong paint fumes. D.S. told me that earlier the paint fumes were so bad in master control it was giving him a headache. Some painters painted this greyish/blue arch on the new wall where the new offices are for GSK. What is the point of this arched stripe? Other than to give us headaches from the paint fumes. It's really smelling bad in the lobby and in the break room. I'm hoping the smell (and my headache)will dissipate by the end of my shift.

Yet again, the baseball game ends on time for me. The three weekends I've worked on 2nd shift where there was a 1pm game, each time the games have ended on time. No Joining in Progress for me! That will all change come the baseball playoffs in October. I am not looking forward to that.

Well, I need to get back to work. Here's hoping for a smooth shift!
